The ACT (American College Testing) is a standardized test used for college admissions in the USA, Canada, and other countries. It is an alternative to the SAT and is accepted by nearly all universities in the USA and several top institutions worldwide.

Both tests are widely accepted. The ACT is best for students strong in Math & Science, while SAT focuses more on critical thinking.
Most students take it in Grade 11 or early Grade 12 to have time for college applications.
You can take the ACT up to 12 times, but most students take it twice to improve scores.
Most Ivy League and top universities accept either the ACT or SAT.
